Q. Can you tell me how to find a book?

Student was looking for a particular book and wanted to know how to go about finding it.

First, you would need to know the particular book's call number. You can find this out by using the Library Resource Finder on the McKinstry Library web-page. Once you know what the call number is for that particular book (including both numbers and letters), you can then begin searching the circulation stacks to find the book you are looking for. The circulation stack aisles are labeled by a call number range specific to that aisle which is further broken down by each shelf within the aisle. Just keep looking for similar call numbers (located on the book spines sitting on the shelves) until you find the exact call number that matches your desired book.
